Copyright Policy

Last updated: March 30, 2026  ·  DMCA Compliance

1. Our Commitment to Copyright

Voxography is a platform for writers to share their original work. We take copyright seriously — both protecting our writers' work and respecting the intellectual property rights of others.

We comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. § 512, and respond promptly to valid takedown notices.

2. Reporting Copyright Infringement

If you believe content on Voxography infringes your copyright, you may submit a DMCA takedown notice to our designated agent. Your notice must be in writing and include all of the following:

Required Elements of a DMCA Takedown Notice

  1. A physical or electronic signature of the person authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed (or, if multiple works are covered by a single notice, a representative list)
  3. Identification of the infringing material, including the specific URL(s) where the content appears on Voxography
  4. Your contact information: name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address
  5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
  6. A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner

Send completed notices to:

  • Email: copyright@voxography.polsia.app (preferred — fastest response)
Warning: Filing a false DMCA takedown notice is a violation of federal law and may expose you to liability for damages, including legal fees. Only submit a notice if you have a genuine, good-faith belief that infringement has occurred.

3. What Happens After You Submit a Notice

Once we receive a complete and valid DMCA takedown notice, we will:

  1. Promptly remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing content
  2. Notify the user who posted the content that their content has been removed
  3. Provide the user with a copy of the takedown notice (with personal contact information redacted)
  4. Inform the user of their right to file a counter-notice

We aim to process valid notices within 3 business days.

4. Counter-Notice Process

If you believe content was removed in error — for example, because you own the copyright, have a license, or believe the use is covered by fair use — you may submit a counter-notice. Your counter-notice must include:

Required Elements of a DMCA Counter-Notice

  1. Your physical or electronic signature
  2. Identification of the removed content and its location before it was removed (the URL)
  3. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief that the content was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification
  4. Your name, address, and telephone number
  5. A statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located, or if outside the US, any judicial district where Voxography may be found
  6. A statement that you will accept service of process from the person who submitted the original takedown notice

Send counter-notices to: copyright@voxography.polsia.app

Upon receipt of a valid counter-notice, we will forward it to the original complainant and may restore the content within 10–14 business days unless the complainant files a court action to prevent restoration.

5. Repeat Infringer Policy

Voxography maintains a repeat infringer policy in accordance with the DMCA. Under this policy:

  • Users who receive a first valid DMCA takedown will receive a formal warning
  • Users who receive a second valid takedown within 12 months will have content publishing privileges suspended
  • Users who receive three or more valid takedowns may have their accounts permanently terminated

We review each case individually. Accounts may be terminated on the first offense for egregious or systematic infringement.

Users who believe their account was terminated in error may appeal by emailing copyright@voxography.polsia.app with a detailed explanation.

6. Fair Use

Not all uses of copyrighted material constitute infringement. Under US copyright law, certain uses may qualify as "fair use" — including commentary, criticism, parody, news reporting, teaching, and research. We consider fair use claims when evaluating takedown notices and counter-notices.

If you believe your use of third-party material is protected by fair use, state this clearly in your counter-notice and explain why.

7. Writers: Protecting Your Own Work

As a writer on Voxography, your original content is protected by copyright the moment you create it. If you discover your work has been republished elsewhere without permission:

  • Document the infringement (screenshots, URLs, dates)
  • Contact the infringing platform directly using their DMCA contact
  • Contact us if you need assistance or if we can help confirm the original publication date on Voxography

We support writers in protecting their work. For assistance, email support@voxography.polsia.app.
